Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Michael J. Wiltz Jr., 43, who passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Tracy Islam. Gift bearers will be Skylar Jeffery and Ayanna Sampy. Music will be provided by Lloyd Richard. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Saint Martinville. Michael, better known as "Booga," was known to be a prankster. There wasn't a day he either texted a joke or made a call to make you laugh. Booga loved to cook and made sure everyone had a plate. He cherished spending time with family and friends, helping others, and loved to talk about fishing. Michael will be missed and remembered by all the lives hes touched. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Journet Wiltz; mother, Mae Willa Wiltz; daughter, Chelsey Wiltz; step daughters, Bianca Journet and Breyonia Journet; step son, Byron Journet; brothers, Marcus Wiltz and Mac Jude Wiltz; sisters, Terje Wiltz and Tyressa Charles and husband William; and a grandchild, Lailah Rae Huval. He was preceded in death by father, Michael Wiltz, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Kennyson and Rose Ambrose; paternal grandparents, Lionel and Ivy Wiltz; and aunts, Shirley Plessey and Rita Catalon. Pallbearers will be John Patrick Sampy Jr., Jamal Broussard, Jeffery Taylor, Jason Babineaux, Jessie Smith, and Malcom Lazard. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Wiltz, Mac Jude Wiltz, Ralph Catalon, Kevin Wiltz, Darrell Wiltz, Russell Plessey Jr., Quinton Wiltz, Cramen Wiltz II, Craig Wiltz, Cramen Wiltz Sr., Rod Wiltz, Randall Wiltz, Jarron Wiltz, Jamie Jean, Deven Green, Skylar Jeffery, Ryan Jeffery, and Chase Wiltz.
