New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 12 Noon Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, in New Iberia for Michelle Rae Kenney, 42, who died Monday, February 25, 2008 in New Iberia.
Rev. Mark McDonald, pastor of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany will officiate.
Born in Chicago, Michelle lived most of her life in the California desert. While living in New Iberia she was a waitress at the Little River Inn Restaurant and also worked with her sister at Patout Greenwood Insurance Agency. She enjoyed dancing, scrap booking, jewelry making, and going to rock and roll concerts. Michelle's pride and joy in life were her daughters, Ashley and Brittney, who she spoke with daily.
Survivors include her daughters, Ashley Lund of Indio, CA, Brittney Crane of Palm Desert, CA; sister, Linda Patout and husband Andre of New Iberia; her beloved brother and sports coach, Mitchell Kenney and his life companion Kelly Porter of Studio City, CA; grandfather, Bob Brooks of Cincinnati, Ohio; aunt, Brenda Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephews, James Kenney, Casey Ray Kenney, Seanan Kenney, and Nolan Kenney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Barbara Haynes Kenney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle's co-workers at the Little River Inn Restaurant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
