Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm , on Monday, May 7, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Michael 'Mike' Hebert, 59, who passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3 pm until 9 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 8 am until 1:15 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm on Sunday evening. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers and gift bearers will be his grandchildren, Chynna, Chloe, Cain, and Cheridan. Mike was employed by Moran Towing Corporation, as a Chief Engineer for 24 years. He was a meticulous and orderly man, a master craftsman, as well as a passionate collector of cars, which he loved refurbishing - there wasnt anything that he couldnt do. As it has long been said about 'Mans Best Friend,' Mike loved his dog, 'The Dude' - he was his sidekick and went everywhere with him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed watching football. Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Stowe and her husband, Craig, of Metairie; and four grandchildren, Chynna, Chloe, Cain, and Cheridan Stowe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clophia and Zula Guidry Hebert. Pallbearers will be Bryan Dautreuil, Jessie Melancon, Brad Guidry, Shane Stelly, Don Guidry, and Mark Olivier.
