Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, August 19, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mildred Bergeron Allemand, 83, who passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday by Sister Ameline Theriot.
Rev. Stephen Pellessier will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers will be Ashlie Hilbun and Michelle Junot. Gift bearers will be Wyatt Hilbun, Carter, Conner, and Cooper Casey.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mildred was born in Breaux Bridge to the late Willie and Alferda Trosclair Bergeron. She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mildred will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Allemand and wife Linda, Steve Allemand and wife Laura, and Carl Allemand and wife Lisa; daughters, Faye Broussard and husband Lester, Janice Junot and husband Michael, and Jayne Boudreaux and husband Scott; sister, Mary Hayes and husband Easton; 15 grandchildren, Nicholas Allemand, Angeline Thibault, Kasie Sziy, Jamie Talbot, Lucas Broussard, Daniel Broussard, Jesse Broussard, Chip Boudreaux, Christy Casey, Patrick Junot, Ashlie Hilbun, Michelle Junot, Erica Rucker, Elyse Rucker, and Jena Allemand; 17 great grandchildren, Abigail Kolb, Alexandra and Gabriel Thibault, Madsyn Barns, McKinzie, Mallory, and Noah Talbot, Brody Sziy, Declan Broussard, Ashlyn, Hunter, and Ryker Boudreaux, Carter, Conner, and Cooper Casey, and Wyatt and Maple Hilbun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Allemand; father, Willie Bergeron; mother, Alferda Trosclair Bergeron; brothers, Melvin "Black" and Merlin Bergeron; and her sister, Melba Richard.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Allemand, Steve Allemand, Carl Allemand, Scott Boudreaux, Michael Junot, and Nicholas Allemand.
