Mildred Marie Bonin

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville for Mildred Marie Bonin, 77, who passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Iberia Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes. Mildred enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. She also enjoyed playing Pokeno. Above all, Mildred's family meant everything to her, she loved spending time with them. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Loinest Bonin, Sr.; three sons, David (companion, Lisa) Bonin, Lonnie "Buddy" (Jackie) Bonin and Loinest "T-Boy" Bonin, Jr.; three daughters, Donna (Raymond) Lasseigne, Glenda (John) Mestayer and Connie (Kim) Horton; grandchildren, Lanie, Casey, Jamie, Heather, Paige, Julien, Alex, Myra, Hunter, Kimber, Gaby, Austin and Lakyn; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Ava, Emma, Lexi, Isabelle, Keiland, Maison, Bennett, Ahnalise, Gialonnie, Rhea, Baby Fontenot, Baby Guidry and Baby Bonin; brother, Richard (Annie) Romero; sister, Lucille LeBlanc; and her beloved cat and bird, Sweetie and Skippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Romero and Lorenza Romero; brothers, Lizzie Romero, Joseph Romero and Lester Romero; sisters, Anna Mae Gary, Mary Helen Trosclair, Eula Mae Boudreaux, Theresa Calais, Esther Boatwright, Audrey Crochet and Betty Jean Decoux; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Guidry. Pallbearers will be David Bonin, Lonnie "Buddy" Bonin, Loinest "T-Boy" Bonin, Jr., Julien Bonin, Alex Bonin, Hunter Mestayer and Austin Mestayer.
