Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mildred Broussard Cormier, 81, who died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Broussard of Breaux Bridge, Brenda Verret and her husband, Allen of Franklinton, Kathleen Romero and her husband Bob, and Lori Thibodeaux and her husband, Glen, all of Breaux Bridge; thirteen grandchildren, Stephanie H. Trahan, Christopher, Eric and David Heumann, Scott, Sean and Amy Verret, Kimberly, Kelli and Blair Romero, and Daniel, Caleb and Anna Thibodeaux; and seven great grandchildren, Erika, Emily, Cole, and Pike Verret, Nicholas and Paige Romero and Zoe Higginbotam. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy J. Cormier; her parents, Esther and Clay Broussard; two brothers, Lynn and John Ned Broussard; two sisters, Lena Barras and Ruby Broussard; and one grandchild, Robert Lynn Romero, II. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Christopher and David Heumann, Bob Romero, Allen, Scott and Sean Verret. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Thibodeaux and Nicholas Romero. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
