Mildred Cormier

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Mildred Bourque Cormier, 89, who passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at her residence.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday.

Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Memorial Service.

Mildred was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and she loved to spoil her grandchildren. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Merlin Cormier; daughters, Paulette Vice (Dale) and Lisa Cormier; grandchildren, Merrill Cormier (Sharon), Mindy Davis (David), Brandy Guidry, John Vice, Jr. (Willie), Blaire Williams (Malik), Brittney Cormier, Brooke Cormier and Reggie Cormier; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Madeline Laporte and Jeannie Bienvenu (Andy); brother, Ira Bourque; special friends, Margie and Adam Ledet; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Cormier; great-grandchild, Aniyah Archon; parents, Elton Bourque and Pauline Dore' Bourque; brothers, Ivan Bourque and Henry Bourque.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Acadiana of their care and compassion.
