Mildred T. Girouard

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Mildred T. Girouard, 87, who passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Saturday morning.Rev. Abelardo Gabriel SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mildred was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, as well as a loyal member of the Catholic Daughters. She loved to read and work in her yard; and she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Mildred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Romero (Terry) and Effie Hebert; son, Mark Girouard (Jennifer); 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Agnes Renard.She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Junius Girouard; parents, Cyrus Tabor and Effie Laviolette Tabor; son-in-law, Kenneth Hebert; brother-in-law, Leffrey Renard; and sister, Dorine Delcambre.
