New Iberia - A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrant at11:00 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Milton "Bill" LaBiche Jr., 79, who passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, with military honors by the Iberia Honor Guard.
Msgr. Keith Derouen will be the Celebrant and Rev. Bill Melancon will Con-Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. LaBiche was born on December 27, 1938 to the late Milton and Agnes Langla LaBiche. He served our country in the U.S. Army, and worked for the New Iberia City Police Department for 9 years, and then as a Child Support Enforcement Supervisor for 29 years. Mr. LaBiche enjoyed visiting with everyone, drinking coffee, playing cards with his friends, spending time with his family and friends, and was always willing to help others.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Broussard LaBiche of New Iberia; son, Michael LaBiche and wife Kim of New Iberia; daughters, Rachel Boudreaux and husband Jeff of Baton Rouge, Simone Sherman and husband Robert of Biloxi, MS; grandchildren, Katie Wattigny and husband Scott, Sydney LaBiche, Lukas Kim, Ean Sherman, George Ehmett Kim, Abby Sherman; great grandchild, Siegen Wattigny; sisters, Connie Pharr and husband Scotty of New Iberia, Mildred "Micky" Adams and husband Malcolm of New Iberia, Dolly Guidry and husband Andrew of New Iberia; brothers, Richard LeBlanc and wife Rebecca of Bossier City, Richard "Dicky" LaBiche and wife Dynell of New Iberia, James LaBiche and wife Shirley of New Iberia; extended family, Johnny Romero of Bull Island, James Romero and wife Gail of Bull Island; parent, Anna Lee Bourgeois of New Iberia; and sister-in-law, Donna LaBiche of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by parents Milton LaBiche, Sr., Agnes LeBlanc, Elue LeBlanc, and extended parents Arthur and Rosie Romero; and a brother, Chris LaBiche.
