Milton Thomas “Tommy” Ronsonet, Jr. was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on July 1, 1949, to the late Milton, Sr. and Edith Landry Ronsonet. His life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Retired from the maintenance department at the Iberia Parish School Board, Tommy devoted his professional life to his community, ensuring that local schools provided a safe and welcoming environment for generations of students.
Tommy was living and loving the retired life and embraced all that life had to offer. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending countless hours fishing and hunting, always seeking the tranquility and beauty of nature. His heart found its home in the Atchafalaya Basin, where he often visited his camp to fish for sac a lait. These moments, surrounded by the splendor of the outdoors, were where he felt most alive.
Tommy also took great pleasure in tending to his vegetable garden, nurturing plants with the same love and care he displayed towards his family. He found joy in the simple things, often enhancing the lives of those around him with the fruits of his labor.
A sports enthusiast, he had a passion for watching NASCAR races, cheering for the New Orleans Saints, and enjoying baseball games, and dancing. These activities brought him joy and camaraderie, making for many memorable moments shared with family and friends.
Above all, Tommy cherished every moment spent with his son, Ryan, and his grandchildren. His heart overflowed with love for them, and the time spent together created memories that will be treasured forever.
Mr. Ronsonet is survived by a son, Ryan Ronsonet (Magen); grandchildren, Drake, Kenzie, Evan and Lillian Ronsonet; sisters, Audrey Trahan and Betty Guilbeau (Paul); significant other, Jo Delcambre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Brenda B. Ronsonet; sister, Deanna Guilbeau; and brothers-in-law, Rogers Trahan and Fils Guilbeau.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Ronsonet, Drake Ronsonet, Evan Ronsonet, Beau Guillot, Keith Guilbeau, and Charles Guilbeau.
