Henderson A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Monique Marie Dugas, 48, who passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Monique was known as a practical joker and enjoyed talking on social media, going to the casino, playing Rummy and spending time with family and friends. Monique will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Megan Dugas of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Guy Dugas of Butte Larose; her godchild, Domonique Dugas of Henderson; and her father, Jerry Dugas of Lafayette. She is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy LeGrand Guidry; her uncle, Russell LeGrand; and her aunt, Cecile LeGrand. Pallbearers will be Donald LeGrand, Dale LeGrand, Brandon Charles, Todd Theriot, Guy Dugas, and Lonnie Devillier. Honorary pallbearers will be William LeGrand and Bryson Periou.
