Breaux ;Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Monita Marie Thibodeaux Hollier, 91, who passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Opelousas General Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 1:45 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 pm. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Hollier was retired from Heymanns Department Store, where she worked as a sales clerk for 43 years. She was a collector of vintage coffee cups and loved nurturing the flowers in her yard. Monita enjoyed playing Bingo, Pokeno, and going to the local casinos. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great grandchildren, and visiting with her neighbors. She is survived by her son, Larry J. Hollier and his wife, Judy, of Breaux Bridge; her granddaughter, Jennifer Usie and her husband, Gary; and two great grandchildren Laykin and Kynlee Usie, all of Breaux Bridge. She is preceded in death by husband, Harold Joseph Hollier; her parents, Armand and Eda Richard Thibodeaux; four brothers, Percy, Alex, Lee and, Allen Thibodeaux; and her sister, Jeanne Thibodeaux Penn.
