New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 9, 2017, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Muriel Hebert Landry, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary, led by the Men's Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until 1:30 PM. A native of Charenton and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Landry was born on November 25, 1939 to the late Donald and Georgette Hebert. She and her late husband, Hardy Landry, were the owners and operators of Hardy Landry Floor Covering. Mrs. Landry enjoyed sewing, being outdoors, shopping, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Curt Landry and wife Tammy of New Iberia, Davey Landry of New Iberia, Julie Landry Burns of New Iberia; brothers, Kirby Hebert and wife Grace of New Iberia, Daniel Hebert and wife Maurine of New Iberia; sister, Janace Derise and husband Donald of Lafayette; grandchildren, Seth Landry and wife Katie, Luke Landry, Duston Landry, Jacob Landry, Brittney Burns, Emily Burns; great granddaughter, Londyn Landry; great nieces, Sharon Ditata and husband Vince, Karen Landry and her daughter Sadie; great nephew, David Landry and his son Elliot. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Landry, and a sister, Elda Vera Myers. Pallbearers will be Curt Landry, Davey Landry, Duston Landry, Luke Landry, Seth Landry, and Jacob Landry. Honorary pallbearers include David Landry, Kirby Hebert, Wayne Landry, and Daniel Hebert. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Carl Ditch, Dr. Salman Malad, and her caregivers, especially Ms. Betty Gonzalez.
