Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Murley Seneca, 83, who passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at St. Martin Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Thursday.
Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jayde Landry, Vince Bouchereau, and Blake Landry. Gift bearers Amanda Bouchereau, Tennille Soignier, Terri Bijeaux, and Megan Seneca.
Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
Murley volunteered her time for many years with the Council on Aging. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her loving sons, Mickey Seneca and wife Rita of Breaux Bridge, Alvin Seneca, Jr. and wife Sara of Cecilia, Carl Seneca and wife Sandra of Parks, and Bert Seneca and wife Tracy of Santa Clarita, CA; brothers, Roland Louviere and wife Aline of Breaux Bridge, Jeff Frederick and wife Jodi of Cecilia, and Russell Louviere and wife Brenda of Breaux Bridge; sister, Louella Louviere of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Amanda Bouchereau and spouse Vince, Tennille Soignier and spouse Chris, Terri Bijeaux and spouse Colby, Jayde Landry and spouse Blake, Megan Seneca and companion, Michael Hebert, Gavin Seneca and spouse Clelie, Troy Seneca, Timothy Seneca, Kandyce Seneca, and Danyelle Seneca; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Seneca, Sr.; and her parents, Dupree and Celina Johnson Louviere.
Pallbearers will be Gavin Seneca, Nick Bouchereau, Dillon Bouchereau, Ayden Hyatt, Brilan Hamlett, Austin Bouchereau, and Gage Hamlett.
