Myra Matas

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Myra Dorotha Anderson Matas , 68, who died Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Matas was a member of ASID, CCID and an instructor at Canada Jr. College. She was also published in "Who's Who of the West", "Who's Who of America" and "Who's Who of the World". She was also an antique appraiser. Survivors include her husband, Mike Matas, Jr. of Arnaudville; her two sons, Michael Richard Matas III and his wife, Lisa Marie of Mary Esther, FL, and Kenneth Scott Matas and his wife, Jennifer of San Mateo, CA; and her four grandchildren, Avadias Melekvann Matas, Nikolia Alexander Matas, Melissa Ada Marie Matas and Antonie James Matas and a sister, Jeanne Anderson Vincent of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie Johnson and Jack Anderson. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
