Myra Montet Theriot

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Myra Montet Theriot, 50, who passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 10:45 am. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Ken Soignier at 7:00 pm on Friday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Myra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. After 26 years of service with the Breaux Bridge Police Department, she retired to be with her family. Her pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Myra loved the holidays, because she knew that she would spend time with the people she loved the most. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and also the community. She is survived by her loving husband, Perry Theriot, Jr.; her son, Marcus Ruiz and wife Aubry; her mother, Bursey Johnson Montet; her brother, Wayne Montet and wife Linda; her sisters, Sadie Olivier and husband David, and Sarah Montet; sister-in-law, Athena Montet; her grandchildren, Cayden and Sophia Ruiz; her in-laws, Perry and Carol Theriot, Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by father, Shelton Montet; and a brother, Rickey Montet, Sr. Pallbearers will be D.J. Olivier, Brian Monteaux, Rickey Montet Jr., Phillup Montet, Tyrell Fenroy, Gary Michael Thibodeaux, Daniel Montet, and Christopher Montet.
