Nancy Matthews

Nancy Matthews, 78, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Lafayette General in Lafayette. She served as an EMS employee and loved to read and volunteer at the Groveton Library. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Matthews of Groveton, TX: her son, Tommy Matthews, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn of Groveton, TX; her daughter, Conni Welch and her husband, Mark of Lafayette, LA; her brother, Harry Whipp of Fort Worth, TX; two grandchildren, Jennie Owens and Carley Lange and four great-grandchildren. ?? She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Catherine Hill Whipp and her sister, Mary Sue Hubbard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association , 312 Guilbeau Rd., Lafayette, LA 70506. ? Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
