Neil Anthony Bonin

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Neil Anthony Bonin, 60, who passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Belle Teche Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 12:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Service. Neil worked with Nabours Drilling for 34 years as crane operator. He enjoyed fishing, working on automobiles, and keeping his truck and yard clean. Neil loved to barbecue for his family and friends. Everyone bragged about his barbecuing technique, which he always claimed was his secret. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda Romero Bonin; daughter, Meagan Bonin of St. Martinville; sons, Jude Bonin and wife Callie of St. Martinville and Jobie Bonin and wife Amber of Loreauville; brothers, Gerald Bonin and wife Cindy of St. Martinville, Ken Bonin and wife Willette of Breaux Bridge, and Burt Bonin and wife Dana of Parks; sister, Vicki Champagne and husband Kim of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Sage Bonin, Trevor Landry, Lexie Bonin, Halie and Brylie Landry, Bree and Colton Bonin, Blayze Bonin, Breeze Champagne, and Briggs and Blythe Bonin, and 2 great grandchildren on the way, Breylie Bonin and Khyzer Butler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Joseph and Ledwin "Din" Rita Boudreaux Bonin.
