Neil Michael Sedotal

New Iberia - Neil Michael Sedotal, 69, a native of Iberia Parish, son of the late Wilfred P “Sed” Sedotal and the late Ella Mae Daily Sedotal died Wednesday, September 20, 2023, while in residency at the Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation facility in Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Courville officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, in Patoutville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Wednesday, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Tuesday.

Neil was a Senior HSE Specialist Trainer / Emergency HAZMAT Coordinator for various oilfield companies. He was an FCC licensed HAM operator and assisted Iberia Parish Emergency Management as a Sr. Operations Specialist.

Survivors are one sister: Karen Sedotal Kinniff and husband David, both of New Iberia.

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his beloved companion, Yvonne Theresa Quebedeaux, of Arnaudville, who passed away on September 30, 2000.

Pallbearers include David Kinniff, Tommy Genest, Chris Torres, James Louviere, Elwood Louviere, and Wayne Leleux.
