Nell Broussard Dupuis

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, for Nell Marie Broussard Dupuis, 88, who passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery, in Jeanerette.

Rev. Garrett Savoie will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Wednesday, from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 6:30 pm, on Tuesday.

Mrs. Dupuis was born in Loreauville, on January 11, 1937, to the late George and Louise Ronsonet Broussard, and was a graduate of Loreauville High School. A devout Catholic, she was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in New Iberia. Mrs. Dupuis enjoyed reading, however her greatest pleasure was taking care of her family.

Survivors include her sons, Ricky Dupuis of New Iberia, and Phillip “Soupy” Dupuis (Nancy Marie Frederick Dupuis) of New Iberia; sister, Jolaine Chauffe (Ken); grandchildren, Joel E. Dupuis (Danielle), Jonathan F. Dupuis (Ashley), James Patrick Dupuis (Jennifer), Paul D. Dupuis, Cody Ray Dupuis (Tiffanie Renee), Tyler Daniel Dupuis (Heather), Brittany A. Dupuis, and Julien Dupuis; step grandson, Chance Gonzales (Jeni); several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dupuis was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Fred Dupuis; son, Danny “Dr. Dup” Dupuis; daughters-in-law, Patrice Marie Owens Dupuis and Cindia Maria Evans Dupuis; and a sister, Joy Rita Laperouse.
