New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM , Tuesday, June 5, 2012 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Nella Dore Viator, 86, who died on Saturday, June 2, 2012 in New Iberia . Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery .. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Monday.. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM . Born on May 29, 1926 , Mrs. Viator was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia . Her passion and talents were in the kitchen, as she was a wonderful cook preparing incredible meals for her family and friends. Survivors include her son, Steve Viator and wife Tina of New Iberia; daughter, Connie Lee and husband Skippy of Lafayette; granddaughters, Lanie Boyle, Kenzie Lee, Haley Viator; and her great granddaughter, Adley Grace Boyle, who was the new light of her life and always brought a smile to her face; brothers-in-law, Roy Viator and wife Mildred of Jeanerette, J.C. Viator and wife Ida of Jeanerette, Ordley Viator and wife Hilda of New Iberia; sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Bott of New Iberia, Gerry Dore of New Iberia, Jeanette Dore of St. Martinville; step grandchildren, Tonya Schouest, Kevin Migues, Jr., Wesley Migues; step great grandchildren, Kaitlin Rouly and Nicavian Migues. Her grandchildren were so blessed to have someone who devoted her life to them. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roosevelt Viator; parents, Wallace and Levie Dore; sister and brother-in-law, Eula and Curtis Broussard; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Barbara Dore; brothers, Joseph Dore, Lawless Dore, and Nerry Dore. Pallbearers will be Steve Viator, Skippy Lee, Dr. Patrick Boyle, Alex Greenwald, Ronnie Broussard, and Tommy Dore. Honorary pallbearers include Rodney Dore, Danny Dore, and Dwayne Dore. We will be forever grateful for the family and friends who cared for her during her times of need, especially Heart of Hospice, and her wonderful caregiver, Cottye Peters.
