Nelson Quebedeaux

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Nelson Quebedeaux, Sr., 87, who passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue at 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Fr. Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The scriptures will be read by Heather Baldwin and Elizabeth Quebedeaux. Gift Bearers will be Alyse, Maddie, Lauren, Carson, Amelia, and Stephen Quebedeaux. Musical selections will be provided by Pope Huval, accompanied by organist, Pat Melancon. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Mr. Quebedeaux was retired from the oil and gas industry where he worked as a motorman. He was an avid gardener who loved sharing his bountiful harvests with family and friends. He is survived by three sons, Herman L. Quebedeaux, and wife, Janet, Anthony Charlie Quebedeaux and wife, Elizabeth, and Nelson Quebedeaux, Jr. and wife, Gerri; his daughter in law, Dolores Quebedeaux; his brother, Bruno Quebedeaux; his sister in law, Ivy Lou Quebedeaux; nine grandchildren, Donovan Quebedeaux, Dwayne Quebedeaux, Greg Quebedeaux, Jason Quebedeaux, Brent Quebedeaux, Heather Q. Baldwin, Dustin Quebedeaux, Alyse Quebedeaux, and Tyler Quebedeaux; and ten great grandchildren,, He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Loretta Guidry Quebedeaux; his parents, Quilice and Maydell Angelle Quebedeaux; his son, Bowsley "B.J." Quebedeaux; a granddaughter, Hope Elizabeth Quebedeaux; three brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be Dwayne, Jason, Dustin, Tyler, and Donovan Quebedeaux, and Mike Baldwin.
