Henderson - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson for Nelson J. Theriot, 73, who passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 11:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Nelson had a huge love for his family. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, doing yard work, and fishing. Nelson lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife Doris Dauphine; sons, Jude Theriot, and Nelson R. Theriot and wife Jenny; daughters, Jessica Alexander and husband Curvis, Julie Theriot, Leslie Meche and husband Andrew, Rachael Savoie and husband John, Tracy Barras and husband Randoll, and Lisa Castille Joubert; grandchildren, Dunice, Nicole, Aryahna, Scotty, Jr., Dustin, Breanna, Jordan, Kameron, Trevor, Joshua, Kaylie, Malarie, Shawn, Austin, Lindsey, Kamri, Bailin, Ashley, Shane, Hayley, Brennan, and Riley; great grandchildren, Kayson, Kalli, Astazia, and AJ; sisters, Gloria Robin, Glenda Hardy and husband Bradley, Lorena Tauzin and husband Charlie, and Priscilla Theriot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney J. and Aurelia Montet Theriot; children, Sidney and Sarah Theriot; brothers, Dunice and Leslie Theriot; and a sister, Vivian Theriot.
