;New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 9:00 AM, Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Ngai Dac Khuu, 84, who passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, peacefully in the presence of his family. ;Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8:00 AM until time of service. ; ;A native of Cambodia, Mr. Khuu immigrated to the United States in 1979, and he and his family took residence in Madison, Wisconsin for a significant amount of time before making New Iberia, Louisiana, their new home. He loved cooking for others, watching wrestling, and entertaining his friends and family. ; ;Survivors include his wife, Phung Ho Khuu of New Iberia; his children; Tien Khuu, his wife Lien of New Iberia, Quen Khuu, his wife Leanh of Wisconsin, Lang To of Dallas, Ngoc Nguyen, her husband Dung of Dallas, Kim Quen Tran, her husband Anh of New Iberia, Muoi Tran, her husband Ha of Dallas, Mau Tran, her husband Thai of Wisconsin, Ut Lam, her husband Ly of Dallas; his daughter-in-law, Mai Khuu of Australia; his brothers, Thanh Khuu of Australia, Det Khuu of Vietnam; 22 Grandchildren and 18 Great grandchildren, all of who will miss him dearly. ;He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hai Le Khuu; his son, Long Khuu, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phung Khuu; his son-in-law, Long To; 3 sisters and 1 brother. ;The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Alberto Palmiano, Dr. Angela Langlinais, everyone at Belle Teche Nursing Center and to Hospice Compassus, who diligently and compassionately cared for him in his final days. ;In lieu of customary remembrances, please consider a donation in the memory of Mr. Khuu to Hospice Compassus, 1438 South College Road, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503. ;To view on-line obituary, and sign guestbook, go to www.pellerinfuneralhome.com ; ;Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements. ; ;
