St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, April 12, 2019, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Nolan Peter Theriot, Sr., 81, who passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 6:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Thursday.
Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Jason Theriot and Lacey Theriot. Gift Bearers will be Allysa Theriot and Sarah Theriot.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Mr. Nolan Theriot, Sr. was born July 13, 1937 in St. Martinville. He worked as a dredge boat operator for many years and enjoyed what he did. He loved to watch old westerns and spend time with his loving family. Nolan will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons, Peter "Nookie" Theriot, Jr. and wife Sandy, Lorne Theriot and wife Belinda, Kevin Theriot and wife Janet, Neil Theriot and wife Krystal, and Jody Theriot and wife Anne; brother, Allie Theriot; sisters, Cecile Dupuis, Marie Broussard, and Lucile Theriot; grandchildren, Kipp Theriot and spouse Hailey, Jill Theriot Hebert and spouse Beau, Jake Theriot and spouse Lacey, Lance Theriot and spouse Emily, Reece Theriot and spouse Maegan, Arrie Theriot Broussard and spouse John, Danielle Theriot Coleman and spouse Kevin, Neil David Theriot, Jr., Luke Theriot, Alyssa Theriot, Sarah Theriot, Tristan Theriot, and Joshua Theriot; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Douet Theriot; parents, Don Louis and Lucia Breaux Theriot; brothers, Woodrow, Willis, Dudley, and Cliney Theriot; and sisters, Rita Romero, Theresa Cormier, and Judy Theriot.
Pallbearers will be Kipp Theriot, Jake Theriot, Lance Theriot, Reece Theriot, Neil David Theriot Jr., Luke Theriot, and Joshua Theriot.
