Nolia Celestine Decuir

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Nolia Celestine Decuir, 84, who passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015, in Jennings. Interment will follow in the St. Edwards Cemetery. Rev. William Blanda will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native of Erath, and a resident of New Iberia, Ms. Decuir was born on November 23, 1930 to Norbet and Paula Wiltz Celestine. She enjoyed growing plants, listening to music, cooking for her family, visiting her neighbors in the community, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren, who she deeply loved.. Survivors include her sons, Tony Decuir and wife Melissa of Jeanerette, Milton Decuir of New Iberia, Camille Celestine of Lafayette; daughters, Betty Decuir of New Iberia, Lynda Decuir of New Iberia, Theresa Stewart and husband Robert of Shreveport, Paula Decuir and husband Ron of New Iberia, Marie Mallery and husband Karl of New Iberia, Cathy Celestine of New Iberia; brother, Henry Celestine and wife Mary Ella of New Iberia; sisters, Mary Guidry of Houston, TX, Wilda Guidry of Houston, TX, Nola Celestine of New Iberia, Melba Narcisse and husband Wilson of Crosby, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Louis Decuir; brothers, Neffery Allen, Nelson Celestine, Leroy Celestine, Felton Celestine, Quilen Celestine, and Joseph Celestine; sisters, Edna Schello, Rose Colbert, and Mildred Montgomery; sons, Louis Decuir and Richard Decuir. Pallbearers will be Jamie Nicholas, Gateson Celestine, Brandon Mallery, Levar Mitchell, Dennis Mallery, and Toriana Decuir.
