Norma Thibodeaux Boudreaux

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 16, 2016, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Norma Thibodeaux Boudreaux, 93, who passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 9:00 am until 12:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Revs. Donald Pelous and Michael Champagne will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Mitra Trahan and Jenny Castille. Gift bearers will be Michelle Howard, Tiffany Hebert, Tanna Guidry, and Dawn Hollard. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. A devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Norma was a member of the St. Bernard Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the weekly Rosary Group, an adorer in the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration since its inception 1984, and a promoter of the Miraculous Medal. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Norma led her children by example into a strong faith in God; her church and her family were the most important things in her life and it showed through the way she compassionately cared for others. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Norma will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, John A. Boudreaux, Jr. and wife Janel; daughters, Julie Hebert and husband Dellon Tex, Jane Melancon and husband David, Melanie Spano and husband Bill, and Theresa Lanza and husband Mike; her grandchildren, Mitra Trahan, Dawn Hollard, Brad Hebert, Miles Hebert, Ryan Boudreaux, Alex Boudreaux, Nick Boudreaux, Jenny Castille, Michelle Howard, Tiffany Hebert, and Tanna Guidry; and her great grandchildren, Ethan and Ty Trahan, Courtney, Madison, and Sydney Castille, Calli Hebert, Alyssa Guidry, Calai and Sophia Hollard, and Bradyn, Briggs and Brook Hebert. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Boudreaux, Sr.; her parents, Gaston and Annie Champagne Thibodeaux; and her brothers, Chester, Stafford, and Howard Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Ryan Boudreaux, Alex Boudreaux, Nick Boudreaux, Brad Hebert, Miles Hebert, Tex Hebert, and David Melancon. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Lanza and Bill Spano.
