Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Norma Jean Eaglin, 57, who passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Eaglin enjoyed singing, watching television, and cherished moments spent with family and friends. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, David Eaglin of Grand Coteau; daughter, Anastasia Gordon of Breaux Bridge; mother, Viola Gordon of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Larry Gordon of Houston, TX and Joseph Gordon and wife Melanie of Duson; sisters, Julia Lemelle and husband Larry of Leonville, Barbara Lemelle and husband Ricky of Leonville, Betty St. Julien and husband Mike of Lafayette, and Mary Lewis and husband Lindon of Carencro; and grandchildren, Jarrick Francis of Cecilia, Daylon Eaglin and Ahlaya Austin, both of Grand Coteau. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Walton Gordon; maternal grandfather, Amlicar Jolivet; and maternal grandmother, Georgiana Jolivet. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Lemelle, Cory Gordon, Lanford Lemelle, Joseph M. Gordon, Larry Gordon, and Michael St. Julien. Honorary pallbearers will be David Eaglin, Darin Eaglin, Eric Eaglin, Ricky Lemelle, Larry Lemelle, Lindon Lewis, Eldridge Breaux, and Jarrick Francis. The family of Norma Eaglin truly appreciates the kind actions and words of everyone given during her lifetime and our bereavement.
