New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Norman L. Nereaux, 61, who passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, in Lafayette.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Keith Landry will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, and will continue on Thursday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
A rosary, led by the Men's Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Norman Louis Nereaux was born on June 26, 1957 to Joyce Peltier Nereaux and the late Ernest Nereaux, Jr. A well-known and talented Diesel Mechanic, he owned and operated Norman's Auto and Diesel Repair, and was a member of I.G.A. Norman loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed cutting grass and tinkering with his tractor and 4-wheelers. He also loved his recliner and having total control of the remote! Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son who will be deeply missed.
Mr. Nereaux is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Myra Duhe' Nereaux of New Iberia; mother, Joyce Nereaux of New Iberia; daughters, Lani Primeaux and husband Shane of Youngsville, and Megan Nereaux of New Iberia; grandchildren, Nayt Rivers of New Iberia, Lance Lopez of Youngsville, Addison Primeaux of Youngsville, and Harper Primeaux of Youngsville; siblings, Tracy St. Upery and spouse Mark of New Iberia, Camille Nereaux of New Iberia, Norwood Nereaux of Lafayette, and Kyle Nereaux and spouse Brandy of New Iberia; and his Great Dane, Loki.
In addition to his father, Norman was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Nereaux; maternal grandparents, Viola and Clay Peltier, Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Josephine and Ernest Nereaux, Sr.
