Norris was born on December 2, 1948, in Breaux Bridge. He was a man whose kindness knew no bounds, always ready to lend a helping hand or a word of encouragement. Norris was not just a member of his community; he was a servant to it. His commitment to uplifting those around him was evident in every interaction, whether through volunteer work or simply being there for friends in need. His heart was as expansive as his laughter, bringing light and warmth wherever he went.

Norris took immense pride in his role as a family man. He was a devoted husband, sharing his life with a partner who complemented his spirit. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys, their relationship a beautiful testament to love's endurance and strength. As a father, he poured his heart into nurturing his children, instilling in them values of compassion, resilience, and dedication.

His pride swelled further as he embraced the roles of grandfather and great-grandfather. Norris was his grandchildren's steadfast supporter; he attended their achievements, cheered for their ambitions, and celebrated their milestones with unbridled joy. He delighted in their laughter and the conversations that filled his home with life. The bonds he formed with each of them were a reflection of his deeply rooted love, ensuring that his legacy would continue to flourish within their hearts.

Among the many joys in Norris's life was his vegetable garden, where he poured his soul into the soil, nurturing each seed with as much care as he offered to his loved ones. The garden was a sanctuary for him, a place where he found peace and contentment, reflecting the very essence of how he lived his life-cultivating growth and abundance.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Theriot Huval; son, Neil Huval (Shannon); daughter, Lisa Arceneaux (Robert Kennedy); brothers, Russell Huval (Theresa) and Gerald Huval (Gail); sisters, Louella Angelle and Bonnie Boudreaux; grandchildren, Layne Huval, Baylee Huval, Ashton Arceneaux, Andre Arceneaux, Isabella Huval and Aubrey Arceneaux; and his great-grandchildren, Amelia Huval and Liam Huval.
