Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Odette C. Bernard, 85, who passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Amelia Manor Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 12 noon until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 6:00 am until 12:30 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures for the service will be Jennifer Maslowski. Gift bearers will be Deana Olivier and Tammy Huval. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Odette was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and worked for the local drug store in Arnaudville for over 60 years. She was well known and liked by everyone who knew her. Her loves were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchild, and the casinos. She is survived by her son, Barron Bernard and wife Debbie; her daughter, Shannon B. Metcalf; four grandchildren, Tara, Dax, and Dustin Bernard, and Christy Wyble; three great grandchildren, Jessica Metcalf, Craig Moratz, and Connor Bernard; and one great-great granddaughter, Elivia Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew "Kellogg" Bernard; her parents, Gloston "Pete" and Angela Comb Cormier; her brother, Leroy Cormier; and her sister, Elsie Miller and her husband Moise. Pallbearers will be Dax Bernard, Dustin Bernard, Kenneth Olivier, Perry Landry, Cecil Cormier, Fred Stoutes, Arlie Angelle and Quentin Huval. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas R.
