Olden Blanchard

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2006, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Olden Joseph Blanchard, 84, who died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at his residence in Catahoula. Interment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Latiolais Blanchard; three sons, Marshall Blanchard and his wife, Patsy, Allen Blanchard and his wife, Miranda, and Carol Blanchard and his wife, Mary; three daughters, Annette Huval and her husband, Timmy, Lillian Suire and her husband, Wilton (Kini), and Evelyn Barras and her husband James (Ti Boy); one sister, Lena Blanchard Latiolais, all of Catahoula, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdand and Clothile Borel Blanchard; 4 brothers, John, Arthur, Stephen and Lucien Blanchard; and five sisters, Nola, May, Amelie, Altia and Loula. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 am Sunday, January 15, 2006 until time of service at Dion Hall in Catahoula. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
