New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, on Thursrday, April 30, 2009, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Olga Pinkie Prevost, 86, who passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Msgr. Richard Greene will be the Celebrant. A loving mother and grandmother, Pinkie enjoyed traveling, cooking and entertaining. Survivors include her daughter, Gwen Travasos and husband Bob of New Iberia; her grandson, John Dru J T Travasos and wife Jennifer of Texas; her great-granddaughter, Chelsie Travasos of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Prevost; her parents, Leodias and Clothilde Hebert; her brothers, Howard, L J and Earl Hebert; her granddaughter, Yvette Travasos. Pallbearers will be Bob Travasos, John Dru J T Travasos, David Hoover, Blaine Hoover, John Kidder and Brock Kidder. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM.
