Oline Landry Babineaux

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, February 22, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Oline Landry Babineaux, 89, who passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Keith Landry will conduct the services. Oline enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, and loved the Atlanta Braves. After attending a game in Houston she expressed her thoughts about the game to her family. She was a devoted Catholic and prayed the rosary in devotion to the Blessed Mother. It brought joy to her life being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Billy Babineaux and his wife, Rita of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Russell Landry of Beaumont, TX; her sister, Ruby Menard and her husband, Norrille of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Peggy Boudreaux, Dean Babineaux, Hope Dias, Denice Babineaux and Rusty Babineaux; and her great grandchildren, Travis, Rayln, Brad, Kayla, Sascha, Ty, Sadie and Megan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amilcar and Florestine Angelle Landry; her husband, Lucuis Babineaux; her son, Gerald Jay Babineaux; her daughter, Gloria Glo Trosclair; and her sisters, Bernice Castille, Viola Malorin, and Iva Mae Durio. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2010 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Rusty Babineaux, Denice Babineaux, Travis Boudreaux, Peggy Boudreaux, Hope Dias and Nathan Trosclair. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Babineaux, Russell Landry, Norrille Menard, and Lenny Malorin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2199) is in charge of arrangements.
