Oline Thibodeaux Bernard

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Oline Marie Bernard, 84, who died on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Rev. Gary Schexnayder, will conduct the services. Readers will be her granddaughters, Michelle Bernard and Shaun Romero-Godshall. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren, Kelly Gil, Shannon Thibodeaux and Allison Dickinson. Mrs. Bernard was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She loved to garden and make ceramics, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Special thanks to St. Theresa's Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. and Concepts of Care Home Health, for the care that was given to our mother during her illness. Survivors include her sons, Albert George Bernard, of Lafayette and Douglas Bernard and his wife, Trixie, of Austin, TX; her daughters, Tammy Allen and her husband, David Craig, and Gail Romero and her husband, Ernie, of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Bernard; her parents, Onellard and Lodoiska Guidry Thibodeaux; her sister and brother-in-law, Iva Mae and Andrew Landry; her brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Agnes Thibodeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2007 and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Bobby Bernard, Mickey Bernard, Tony Bernard, Ryan Comeaux, Jake Comeaux, Bernard Comeaux and Chad Romero. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa's Hospice and Palliative Care Inc., 100 General Mouton, Lafayette, LA 70501.
