Oline Dugas Guidry

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Oline Veronique Dugas Guidry, 97, who passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at St. Agnes Nursing Home and Rehab. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville will officiate at the funeral service. Oline was a true fan of Elvis Presley and loved him from day-one. She and Marcel traveled all over the country, all the way to Canada with her sister, Moon and brother-in-law, Harry. Oline loved her dogs, especially Josette. In reference to people making the most out of life, she would often tell people Make hay while the sun shines, because when it goes down, you never know if it will come back up. Survivors include her sister, Monita Moon D. Mouton and her husband, Harry P. Mouton, Sr. of Parks; and her nieces and nephews, Alex Doonie Theriot and wife, Loretta, of Waxhaw, NC, Gayle Dugas and husband, Huey, of Lafayette, Linda Laperouse and husband, Kenny, of Breaux Bridge, Evelyn Theriot of New Iberia, Nita McNair and husband, Bill, of Sunset, Connie England and husband, Ray, of Knoxville, TN, Judy Johnson and husband, Cedric, of Youngsville, Harry Mouton, Jr. and wife, Dale, of Cecilia, Kenneth Mouton and wife, Sandra, of Breaux Bridge, Greg Mouton and wife, Sharon, of Omaha, NE, and Tammy Allain and husband, Chris, of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel L. Guidry; her parents, Ludovic and Cornelia Hebert Dugas; and a sister, Evelyn D. Theriot. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday with a recitation of the Rosary at 9 a.m. Pallbearers will be Harry Mouton, Jr., Kenneth Mouton, Chris Allain, Christopher Allain, Mitchel Allain, and Bill McNair. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
