Olivia George Dauphine

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021, at St. Edward Catholic Church in New Iberia for Olivia G. Dauphine, 67, who passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in Pensacola, Florida.

Rev. Canon, G. Jordan will be the Celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Edward Cemetery in New Iberia.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia from 9:00 am until 12:15 pm on Friday.

A resident of Pensacola, Florida, Olivia George Dauphine was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on September 29, 1954 to the late Joseph George and Rose Mary Brown George, and was a 1973 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. Olivia worked as a CSM for Walmart for 21 years (10 years in Lafayette, and the past 11 years in Pensacola). Her friends and coworkers at Walmart shared this: "Olivia touched the lives of everyone she met. She always had a warm smile and words of encouragement for both associates and customers. Anyone she crossed paths with in life is sure to agree. We will truly miss her. Always and forever, her Walmart Family at Store 1222."

Olivia's favorite color was purple, and her favorite singer was Patty LaBelle. She loved singing and dancing. A God-fearing praying woman, Olivia was very close to the Lord, and active in church and a member of the church choir. She was very social, a devout Catholic and cared about everyone. Olivia enjoyed life, and her hobbies included sewing and swimming, but what she cherished most was time spent with loved ones. She will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Dauphine is survived by her loving husband, Irvin Dauphine of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Demetrius Armstrong (Boris Tony Armstrong) of Dallas; two sons, Irvin Dauphine, Jr. of Houston, Travis Dauphine (fiancée Jeanine) of Milton, FL; ; two sisters, Kitty Ann Andrews (Paul "Bobby") of New Iberia, and Nora G. Hithes (Owens) of California; numerous grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings, Albert George, Joseph George, and Mary Ann Galentine.

Pallbearers will be Boris Tony Armstrong, Christopher Mitchell, Jr., Irvin Dauphine, III, David George, Leonard Joseph, and Bryson Perro.

Honorary pallbearers are Warren Galentine, Sr., Phadel George, Warren Galentine, Jr., Greg Dauphiney, Sr., Tyler Galentine, and Javonte Charles.

Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, (337-365-3331) is in charge of arrangements.

I was blessed to see Olivia a couple of weeks ago and she gave me a huge hug which made my heart swell with love for her. Precious, sweet lady. I will miss her so. May she rest in the arms of our Lord.
