Olivia Fuselier Doucette

New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Olivia Fuselier Doucette , 79, who passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, in Houston, Texas. Interment will be at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at Pellerin Funeral Home. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Doucette was born on June 1, 1938 to the late Junius and Irma Gardner Fuselier. She retired from the Iberia Parish School Board, and also worked as a nurse's aid for the Council of Aging. Mrs. Doucette was a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include children, Bryan A. Doucet of New Iberia, Loyce A. Doucet of New Iberia, Danny Doucette of New Iberia, Joy L. Doucette of Fernandina Beach, FL; sisters, Jessie Guillory of Houston, TX, Marjorie Thornton and husband James of Houston, TX, Linda Robinson and husband Dennis of Boston, MA, Clara Fuselier of New Iberia; daughter-in-laws, Verna Doucet of New Iberia, Phyllis Doucet of New Iberia; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Doucet, Sr., sons, Lloyd "Butchie" Doucet, Jr., and Michael Doucet, brother, Robert "Man" Fuselier, and a sister, Shirley Harris.
