Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 5, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Oris Peter Theriot, 85, who passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Father Paul LaFleur will officiate at the funeral service. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley T. Bonin and Betty T. Cormier and her husband, Alan, all of St. Martinville; one son, Oriste P. Theriot, Jr. and his wife, Victoria, of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Rose LaBishe, of Texas; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arista and Saddie Labbit Theriot; his wife, Louise Hayes Theriot; his grandson, Terry Paul Theriot; his sister, Verna Mae Mae Daigle; and a son-in-law, Desire Sonny Bonin, Jr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3 p.m. until time 10 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
