Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Oscar Pete, Sr., 85, who died Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Pete loved music and especially playing the accordion. Survivors include his sons, Alton Joseph Pete and his wife, Leatrice of Beaumont, TX, Clifton Joseph Pete, Hilton Joseph Pete and his wife, Evelyn all of Breaux Bridge, Micheal Pete and his wife, Madeline of St. Martinville, and John Darrell Pete of Port Arthur, TX; his daughters, Maudrey Brown, Eula Mae Pete, Theresa Davis and her husband, Joseph, and Geneva Henry and her husband, Walter all of Breaux Bridge, and Aspasia Comeaux and her husband, Howard of Arnaudville; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Solange Landry Pete; his parents, Lovine and Gabriel Pete; his sons, Percy and Oscar Pete, Jr.; ?his daughter, Margaret Robertson; his brothers, John, Audrey, Joseph, Norris, Harris, and Ernest Pete; and his sisters, Rose Pete, Bernice Nicholas and Mary Francis Pete. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm ~ 10:00 pm on Friday, November 24, 2006 and continue at 7:00 am Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday. Pallbearers will be John Pete, Regional Davis, Jeremy Robertson, Oscar Pete Glover, Elliot Barber and Latrelyn Pete. Pellerin Funeral Home, Carver and Dauterive Sts., Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
