New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM , Wednesday, August 10, 2011 , at Highland Baptist Church in New Iberia , for Otis E. Lomenick, III, 42, who passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in St. Martin Parish.. Rev. David Denton will officiate. Born on February 28, 1969 , Otis worked for High Tech Components in Broussard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, but most of all helping others. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Laura Langlinais Lomenick of New Iberia; his two sons, whom he loved dearly, and were his pride and joy, Otis E. Lomenick, IV, and Noah Michael Lomenick, both of New Iberia; father, Otis E. Lomenick, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Opelousas; mother, Linda Lomenick of Lafayette; sisters, Laura Lynn Stevens and husband Blake of Youngsville, Leah Padgett and husband Eugene of Lafayette; his wife's parents, Will and Brenda Langlinais of New Iberia and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Linda Braniff; grandparents, Otis and Eugenie Lomenick, Sr., Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Couvillon, and Thomas Braniff, Sr. Pallbearers will be Thomas Braniff, Jr., Robert Braniff, Bryan Braniff, Kent Langlinais, Will Langlinais, and Carl Meyer. Memorial contributions may be made to Otis' sons. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM . Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements.
