Ovignac Broussard, Jr.

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Ovignac Broussard, Jr., 69, who passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be John Broussard and Kenneth Broussard. Gift Bearers will be Angie Broussard Rangel and Robert Francis. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Ovignac was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to the late Ovignac, Sr. and Ourline Dural Broussard. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps earning a Purple Heart during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing music, and spending time with family and friends. Oviganc will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sons, John Paul Zenon and Derimzey Zenon; daughter, Angie Broussard Rangel and husband George; brothers, John Broussard and wife Bernadette, Edward Broussard and wife Lois, Kenneth Broussard and wife Janet, Joseph L. Broussard and wife Elnora, and David Mike Broussard; sisters, Joyce Broussard, Brenda Thompson and husband Charles, and Patricia Francis and husband Rodney; seven grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Delores Collins Broussard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovignac Broussard, Sr. and Ourline Dural Broussard; sister, Georgia Broussard; nephew, John Broussard, Jr.; and his special friend, Venessa Zenon. Pallbearers will be John Broussard, Kenneth Broussard, Edward Broussard, Lionel Broussard, Rodney Francis, and Donovan Francis.
