Ozea "Ms. Dan" Pellerin

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Ozea Pellerin, 93, who passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday.Father Blake Dubroc will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Ozea was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and loved attending her weekly Masses. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed canning figs and cooking chicken and seafood gumbos. As a pastime, she enjoyed doing word search puzzles. Ozea loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for the love she gave to her family and giving them the tools they needed to succeed in life. She is survived by her son, James Pellerin; daughter, Evalean Degeyter; seven grandchildren, A.J. Degeyter (JoAnn), Yvonne Atkins (Jim), Scott Degeyter (Melissa), Ronda Burrow (Steve), Cory Degeyter (Amanda), Craig Degeyter (Stephanie Bufford), and Miranda Pellerin; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Prejean and Charles Prejean (Loretta); and sister, Frances Marks.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Odette Stelly Prejean; husband, Daniel Pellerin; son, Curtis Pellerin; two brothers, Bergie and Frank Prejean; and sisters, Bernice Lanclos and Bertha Prejean. Pallbearers will be A.J. Degeyter, Cory Degeyter, Scott Degeyter, Craig Degeyter, Nicholas Degeyter, and Cody Degeyter. The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who provided compassion and care to her during her time of need.
