New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2008, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, in New Iberia for P.D. ""Blue"" Hayes, 88, who died Friday, June 6, 2008 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rev. Allen Breaux will be officiate. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Hayes is a retired owner of Hayes Bros. Concrete Construction. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and playing golf. Survivors include his wife, Mary Hebert Hayes of New Iberia; son, Thomas David Hayes of Lafayette; sister, Dorothy Molbert of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. and Corinne Goulas Hayes; brothers, J. Ramus Hayes, Warren Hayes, Chester ""Brock"" Hayes, Wesley Joseph Hayes; sister, Katherine Hayes. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, from 9:30 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM Monday.
