Coteau – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, in Coteau, for Patricia “Trisha” M. Boudreaux, 58, who passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
Rev. Matthew Hebert will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Friday, from 8:00 am until 9:15 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Thursday.
Born on April 1, 1965, in New Iberia, Trisha was a graduate of Mt. Carmel, and the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL), now the University of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL). She was a devoted Interventionist at Coteau Elementary School and Jefferson Island School. Trisha dedicated her career to teaching and helping all the children at her schools. She had a passion for teaching and an unwavering commitment to the education and growth of her students. She truly was a kindhearted person.
One of Trisha’s greatest pleasures was Disney. She loved everything related to the magical world of Disney and would often plan trips to Disneyland to enjoy its enchantment and magical moments.
Above all, Trisha adored her grandson, Jenson, who brought immeasurable happiness into her life. He was “The Light of her Life”, and she treasured each moment they shared together.
Survivors include her husband, Charles “Chuck” Boudreaux; her mother, Evelyn Boudreaux Melancon; children, Casey Boudreaux (Elizabeth), and Meghan Boudreaux (Anna); grandson, Jenson Boudreaux; and her sister, Nancy Meyers (Jesse).
She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick “Pat” Melancon.
Pallbearers will be Casey Boudreaux, Meghan Boudreaux, Jesse Meyers, Forrest Kidder, Paul Gisclair, and Shawn Robicheaux.
Honorary pallbearers include Jenson Boudreaux and Nicholas Holace-Meyers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miles Perret Center, P.O. Box 80763, Lafayette, LA 70598
