St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a .m., on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Patricia Marie Williams, 66, who passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Camelot of Broussard. Fr. Augustinus Seran, SVD, will officiate at the funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Miss Williams was retired from the St. Martin Parish School Board, where she worked as a food service technician for 25 years. In addition to her full-time job with the school board, she was also a devoted caregiver to many for numerous years. She served as a Lecture at Notre Dame Catholic and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Court No. 54, Legion of Mary Rosary Group, Group Block Rosary, and the Associates of the Blessed Sacrament. Her favorite pastimes were visiting the sick and shut-ins at local nursing homes, praying the Rosary, and attending Mass. Survivors include two sons, Ignatius Williams and wife, Mary, and Gilbert Williams and wife, Estella, all of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one daughter, Melissa Williams of Abbeville; four brothers, Leander 'Cush' Williams and wife, Gloria, Thaddeus Williams and wife, Cheryl, Paul Williams and wife, Sharon, and Cyrus Williams and wife, Cathy; six sisters, Sylvia Porche, Ann Williams, Claudia Phillips and husband, Jimmy, Mary Williams, Martha Alexander and husband, Ozer, and Paulette Kately and husband, Leslie; her grandchildren, Jasmine Williams, Kiersten Williams, Justin Williams, Emiya Wyatt, Gerald ONeal, Angelica Gerard; one aunt, Rose Harrison; and one uncle, Octave Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Helen Guidry Williams. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. on Friday.
