VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at St. Edward Catholic Church, in New Iberia for Patrick Boutte, 22, who died Saturday, June 6, 2009 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in the St. Edward Church Cemetery. Rev. Jude Thierry will be the Celebrant and Deacon Raymond Derouen will assist. Readers will be Cierra Boutte and Monique Broussard. Born on October 28, 1986 in San Jose, Ca, Patrick is the son of Denfer Boutte, Sr. and Kelly Labbe Boutte. He graduated from New Iberia Senior High with honors, receiving numerous awards and scholarships. Patrick was attending Louisiana State University when he was in a serious accident that led to his disability. In addition to his parents, survivors include: his brothers, Joshua Labbe and Denfer Boutte, Jr., both of New Iberia; his sisters, Cierra Boutte (Jeffery Barnett) and Erica Boutte, both of New Iberia; his grandmother, Jeannie Labbe; his great aunt, Mary Ann Levy; his aunts, Shereba Boutte, all of New Iberia; his uncles, Orlando Boutte of San Mateo, CA, Troy Labbe and Todd Labbe, both of New Iberia; his nephew, Isaiah Barnett. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Sidney Labbe; his paternal grandparents, Dudley and Juanita Boutte and his great grandparents, Alfred and Felicienne Nelson, Sr. Pallbearers will be Josh Labbe, Casey Broussard, Denfer Boutte, Jr., Richard Broussard, Jr., David Boutte, and Scott Fontenot. Honorary pallbearers include Pierre Bijou, Jeffery Boutte, Merv Boyance, Robert Broussard, Sr., Daniel Breaux, Larry Granger, Todd Labbe, Troy Labbe, and George Robertson. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday.
