Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Patrick Dale Hebert, 80, who passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at his residence. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Tuesday from 7:00 am to 12:45 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 12:30 PM on Tuesday. 

Father Garrett McIntrye will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Aaron Theall and Errol Cormier.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.

Patrick was born on November 11, 1943, in Lafayette, Louisiana. A proud veteran, Patrick served his country with honor in the Navy for 4 years. His service is a testament to his selflessness and love for his nation.

Patrick dedicated over 60 years of his life to the Oil and Gas industry, showcasing unwavering dedication and passion for his work.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Patrick had a zest for life that was truly infectious. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in activities such as fishing and hunting. His loyalty to LSU and the Saints reflected his unwavering support for his favorite teams. In his younger days, he fearlessly raced motocross, embracing adventure and thrill-seeking with every turn. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Patrick had a gift for bringing laughter to those around him - truly a comedian at heart.

Patrick's legacy transcends the boundaries of family and friends; he leaves behind cherished memories that will be treasured forever. His unwavering love and guidance will continue to resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Velma C. Hebert; son, James Hebert (Jeanne); daughter, Mitzi Theall (Aaron); grandchildren, Colin Hebert, Justin Badeaux and Jordan Badeaux; great-grandchildren, Logan Theall, Maverick Theall, Kingston Badeaux, Harper Badeaux and Bella Grace Badeaux; and his sisters, Georgiana Guidroz, Martha Bozeman (Byron), and Debbie Lormand.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Beaulah Guidry Hebert; sister, Nettie Mouton; brothers-in-law, John Dale Mouton, Bryan Guidroz, and Willie Joe Lormand.

Pallbearers will be Colin Hebert, Justin Badeaux, Aaron Theall, Logan Theall, Errol Cormier, and Joel Lormand.
