Patsy Bujard Dauterive

New Iberia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Patsy Bujard Dauterive 83, who died Friday, October 10, 2014, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Msgr. Keith Derouen will be the Celebrant. Dr. Alton Henry Dauterive and Goldie Bujard Cestia will proclaim the readings. Gift Bearers include Malise Fauterive Hebert, Rene Fournet Dauterive, and David Fleming Dauterive. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue on Monday from 10:00 AM until 1:15 PM. Mrs. Dauterive was born in Lafayette on December 21, 1930 to Alton Moss Bujard and Goldie Fournet Bujard. She was a 1948 graduate of Mount Carmel in New Iberia, and then attended LSU, graduating in four years. An avid Saints fan, Mrs. Dauterive was active throughout our community including Fortnightly V, Iberia Parish Medical Auxiliary, and Friends of the Shadows. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter Catholic Church, and as a Board Member for the Crippled Childrens Association. Her hobbies included watching HGTV, and Fox News Aficionado. Survivors include her children, Dr. Edward Weeks Ned Dauterive, Jr. and wife Donna Earles Dauterive of New Iberia, Dr. Alton Henry Dauterive and wife Barbara Gravel Dauterive of Pass Christian, MS, Patrick John Dauterive and wife Christine Smith Dauterive of New Iberia, David Fleming Dauterive of Lafayette, Rene Fournet Dauterive and Michael Baker of Houston, Texas, Mildred Alycee Dauterive of Dallas, Texas, Mary Elizabeth Dauterive Hebert and husband Edward Scott Hebert of Lafayette; brother, Dr. Burt Milton Bujard and wife Corinne of New Iberia; sister, Goldie Bujard Cestia and husband Wayne of New Iberia. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Alton Henry Dauterive, Jr. of New Orleans, Christopher Brannam Dauterive and wife Catherine of Houston, Texas, John Moss Dauterive of New Orleans, Ellen Claire Dauterive of Jackson, MS, Dr. Edward Weeks Dauterive, III and wife Gretchen of Temple, Texas, Dr. Matthew Earles Dauterive of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Frances Gene Dauterive of New Orleans, Collin Rene Dauterive of Lake Charles, Kirsten Bur Dauterive of New Orleans, Mary Catherine Hebert of Lafayette, Elizabeth Anne Hebert of Lafayette, William Weeks Dauterive of Lafayette; and a great grandson, Edward Weeks Dauterive, IV of Temple, Texas. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dauterive was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edward Weeks Dauterive, Sr.; and a brother, Dr. Alton Moss Bujard, Jr. Pallbearers will be Alton Henry Dauterive, Jr., Christopher Brannam Dauterive, John Moss Dauterive, Dr. Edward Weeks Dauterive, III, Dr. Matthew Earles Dauterive, Collin Rene Dauterive, and William Weeks Hebert. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic High Gym Fund, or the Goldie Bujard Angel Among Us Scholarship Fund, 1301 DeLaSalle Drive, New Iberia, LA 70560, or for Masses for Patsy and her family.
