Paul Alvin Baudoin was born in Youngsville on December 4, 1940, to the late Joseph Avery and Rosie Guillot Baudoin. He was the 5th of 15 children, and if you asked him he was the "prettiest one.” Alvin was raised in Youngsville and was a truck driver for nearly 50 years. He was awarded by his last company, KLLM, the One-Million-Mile award without any accidents, twice. Alvin was a big fan of L.S.U. and Saints football, and UL baseball. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, watching John Wayne movies, and listening to classic country music. Alvin never met a stranger and loved making people laugh and telling a good joke. He would often say "It doesn't take a nickel to make a friend, but will save you an enemy." He was a hard worker who provided for his family. His famous words were that he “scraped the moon to make the stars,” and, if you asked his children and grandchildren, they would believe it. Alvin was a kind and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons, Jace P. Baudoin, Paul Adam Baudoin and fiancé, Michelle Anthon, Jeffery J. Baudoin and wife Lisa, and Jody A. Baudoin and wife Heidi; daughters, Angela Baudoin Morrison, Jolene B. Scherr and husband Warren, and Jessica M. Harrison and husband Jason; brothers, John Lee “Slee” Baudoin and wife Yvonne, Leeward Baudoin and wife Margaret, Henry Baudoin, and Mark Baudoin and wife Debbie; sisters, Ruby Grossie and husband Louis, Mary "Sis" Baudoin, Rose-Marie Frederick and husband Ricky, Margaret Cloteaux, Susie Alleman and husband Karl, and Tammy Baudoin; grandchildren, Chad Baudoin, Jamie Baudoin, Kim LeBlanc, Jacob Baudoin, Katelyn Baudoin, Joshua Baudoin, Michael Baudoin, Caleb Baudoin, John Paul Baudoin, Mary Baudoin, Ben Baudoin, Nicholas Baudoin, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Baudoin, Konner and Hunter Morrison, Michael, Nathan, Bethany, Emily, Hailey, and Riley Scherr, and Gabrielle, Ahna, and Gwendolyn Harrison; great grandchildren, Jenna, Chad "CJ", Jr., Abby, Rory, Riley, Isaiah, Hazel, Elijah, and one on the way; and his best friend and beloved dog, Dixie.
